Muhlenbergia mexicana

Common Names: Leafy Satin Grass, Wirestem Muhly

Soil: Dry-Mesic  Mesic  Wet-Mesic
Height: 1.5 ft - 2.5 ft
Blooming: Aug Sep

This is a fairly adaptable grass that grows in many habitats. In full sun it requires moister soils, while in shade to part shade it is often found in medium to even slightly dry soils. The scientific name is misleading as this species is not even native to Mexico.
